Since
many years old saree is wear by women. Saree word derived from sankrit word
“SAADI”. Saree is the garment which loved by women most. Different types of
saree are wear in different region. Mostly sarees of every region are famous.
But here i’m only talking about north India saree. Mostly in many states of
north India sarees are weaves. Sarees of north India are very famous in all
over world. In north India weaver weaves very finely saree by using silk thread
and zari and makes awesome motif which gives royal and elegant look to saree
Banarasi silk saree:- Banarasi silk saree are weaves at famous holy city varansi,
known as “banaras”. Banarasi silk saree are famous for gold and silver brocade,
zari, and finely silk. It’s different motif like paisleys, florals and foliate
patterns, inter-knitted in the inner or outer edges of the saree. Banarasi silk
saree are famous in all over world.
Kota doria:- Kota city of Rajasthan, where this famous saree is weaves. Saree gets
this name from two words kota and doria, where kota means name of city where
saree are weaves and doria means thread. These fabric is transparent and
yet cotton-silk weave. The silk provides the required transparency
while the cotton provides the necessary strength. These sarees are light
in weight and transparent so perfectly suits for summer season.
Chikankari saree:- Chikankari is the speciality of lucknow city of uttar
Pradesh. Chikankari saree is also known as chikan saree or lucknowi saree.
These chikankari was transpired by noor jehan, wife of mughal emporer jehangir
and was carried forward by nawabs. Chikan work are mostly done on weightless
fabric like chiffon, mulmul, cotton, muslin. Every motif of chikan work include
different 40 stitches out of which six are basic and rest are build on them.
All stitches have different name.
Tissue
saree:- Tissue sarees, usually woven with the finest silk thread are
also quite popular. These saree are light in weight so it is very
comfortable to wear and loved by women. The fabric tissue is woven of
100% polyester and is moderately wrinkle resistant. These saree are available
in both cotton and silk fabric. The important fact of these saree is taht it
can be easily washed in machine and dry cleand depends on coloured.
Jamavar saree:- Jamavar saree originate from Kashmir.
The word jamavar means “long robe”. These saree is woven by fabric wool and
took. Both beautiful and rich fabric is ideal for winter. The techniques of
weaving evolved over the years. The motif are usually inspired by nature. The
Jamawar silk weaves should preferably be dry cleaned. The cotton and other
blends of Jamawar could be hand washed or slow machine washed using mild
detergent.
